Deputy's News
Dear Families and Friends
Being on time and ready to learn.
At the start of every year and throughout the year, students are learning how important it is to be on time and ready to learn. Students are reminded that being organised is the key to getting the most out of their learning so time is not wasted and tasks can be completed properly.
One way to do this is for children to make sure their desks are tidy and their equipment is ready to use for the day.
Arriving at school on time also ensures a good start to the day and gives the children time to get their belongings organised and ready.
Being on time and organised is a life-long skill which we should all try to instil in every student. It is something that they can transfer to extra-curricular activities and everyday life.
If you discuss this with your children and try to make being organised and on time a priority in your life, it can help the whole family too.
We would like to see if any parents in our Dayboro school community or outside our school, would be interested in coming along to a playgroup that would be run by and held at Dayboro school. We have already had about 5 families interested in participating. I will be ringing them shortly to discuss days and times. This is an exciting opportunity for parents of younger children, in our community, to meet and have their children engage in high quality play-based learning and socialisation activities provided by a trained facilitator, usually a member of our school staff.
If this is something you would be interested in attending with your younger child, please let us know so we can start to see if we would have enough interest so we can start looking at providing this wonderful opportunity for our Dayboro families.
Call our office 34256111 and please leave your name and phone number so we can start to get an idea of numbers interested. We will then ring you and let you know if we will push ahead and give you more details.
