P&C News
Good Afternoon Dayboro SS Families
Thank you to everyone who assisted with the Welcome BBQ last Thursday. We had plenty of helpers who either signed up on the volunteer register or stopped by to see if they could lend a hand on the afternoon. A big thanks to each of you!
This is the first time we have done a Welcome BBQ on the Information Evening. We’d love to know what you think so we can make it even better for everyone next year, so please don’t be shy, the more feedback the better.
Tuckshop
Thank you to all those parents who have signed up to help in the tuckshop this term. We’ve managed to fill quite a few spots but there is still room if anyone would like to help out on a Wednesday or Friday.
Please contact Alison at tuckshop@dayboropandc.org.au if you would like to be involved.
Uniform Shop
Thank you to everyone for your patience last Thursday morning. We had many eager parents lining up to purchase new Sports Shirts for all the Prep students and new families. Thank you Alison for staying back late to ensure that all of our Prep students were able to wear their house colours on Friday, and wow, didn’t they look fantastic!
Just a reminder that the Uniform Shop will be open every Thursday morning 8.30am - 9.30am.
If you cannot make it during this time but need to order some uniforms, please fill out the attached order form and send it to uniformshop@dayboropandc.org.au. Your order will be packed and left at the school office for you to collect when convenient.
Next Meeting – Monday 13th February 2023
Our next P&C Meeting will be online, to attend please contact secretary@dayboropandc.org.au for meeting details.
We would love to see you there!
AGM – Monday 13th March 2023
Did you know that all positions become available at the AGM?
The P&C must have a minimum of two elected officers to continue operating. At the AGM in 2022, our P&C only had a Secretary and Treasurer.
As you can imagine, this is a huge undertaking for two people. With both Mia and Jo stepping down from their roles as Secretary and Treasurer this year, we are now calling on all Dayboro State School families to consider getting involved.
Joining the P&C, or taking on a role, is a great way to play an active role in building our school community. Your participation, no matter how big or small, WILL make a BIG difference.
If you are considering getting involved but not sure where to start, or would like to get a better understanding of the roles, let’s chat. We can catch up for a coffee, or gather a group of friends together. Send me an email at president@dayboropandc.org.au, or leave your details with the office and I will give you a call.
Next year Dayboro State School celebrates 150 years! It is such an exciting time for the school and community, and no better time to get involved.
