Chappy's News
Hi everyone,
It has been so lovely to see all of your faces this week as school starts again. I hope you had a wonderful summer holidays with your little people.
I really enjoyed having lots of time to spend with my family and friends. My husband Chris, my son Levi and I went to Cotton Tree for 2 weeks with a bunch of friends (bliss!). We went for some hikes, went to the movies, saw a live tennis match, played card games, had lots of play dates, read books and enjoyed having more time to cook new meals. I also like to watch the cricket, but the rest of my family isn’t very keen, haha!
As the routines start again and life gets busy, I hope you remember to take the time to do the things that bring you joy. I think this can be one of the most productive things we can do for our overall wellbeing (experts think so too!).
Keep an eye out for the following programs or events this term:
Rock and Water
Mrs Tavelardis and I will send home information to the children who will either continue in or start Rock and Water this term. We are looking to start up again in Week 3. If you are interested in your child participating, please contact me.
Pancake Day
Pancake day is on the 7th of February (Tuesday Week 3). Remember to bring your gold coins to get some yummy breakfast in the CSA before school.
SUPA Club
SUPA Club starts next Friday at 3pm in the school hall. We have afternoon tea, play games and learn new things. This Term we will be working through a book called “Indescribable” by Louie Giglio. We will also be having some special guests come in and talk to us about their life and faith journey. Please see the flyer attached for further information.
Breakfast Club
We are running our first ever Breakfast Club morning on the last day of term – 31st of March. This will take place before school in the CSA. More information to come.
Lunch Clubs
Keep an eye out for my whiteboard. Like last year, I will place it in the CSA with information about any lunch clubs running that day.
Finally, I am here to support students, staff and parents in the Dayboro State School community. If you have a need, are going through something difficult or simply need someone to talk to, my door is always open. I have lots of resources and support I can offer. If this would be beneficial for you or if you know of a family it could help, please send me an email. Have a great fortnight!
