Welcome everyone to another exciting year at Dayboro State School.

It was lovely to meet some of you at the Tea & Tissues on Monday, I trust that your little ones all enjoyed their first day.  It was lovely to hear all the happy voices ringing out across the school.

What is the P&C? 

It is the Parents and Citizens Association. 

Our vision is to enhance the school experience of every Dayboro State School student by working with the school community to provide the students with diverse opportunities, improved resources and facilities, rewarding experiences and an inclusive community. We do this by providing support to the school in many initiatives and activities and arranging and hosting social, learning and fundraising events throughout the year for students.

We meet the second Monday of the month at 7.00pm via Microsoft Teams. Meeting virtually has offered many interested parents the opportunity to attend even with their busy schedules. We don’t mind seeing or hearing your children in the background, it comes with the territory!  We’ve had a number of requests to also have the option of face to face meetings this year, so watch this space.

The P&C also manages and operates two key services within the school – the Tuckshop and Uniform Shop.

Tuckshop

Our tuckshop is run by Alison Hibberd and currently opens for 1^st and 2^nd break, Wednesday and Friday.

We have a number of volunteer vacancies for this term, especially Fridays.  Without some extra helpers we may not be able to open on some days. 

Would you be able to help?  Even if you can only volunteer for one day this term, all help is greatly appreciated.

Our tuckshop will be open from Week 2.  Students can either drop off their order in a paper bag at the tuckshop (located in the CSA) in the morning, or alternatively you can order through FlexiSchools. This can be done either through their website or by downloading their app.

Uniform Shop

I would like to firstly thank our amazing Karen Hockings for not only running our Uniform Shop for the last few years, but for also going above and beyond to ensure that parents could access uniforms prior to school starting back.  Karen have very generously donated many, many, many hours of time to ensure that our uniform shop opens regularly, appropriately stocked, and we can’t thank her enough for her support and effort.

Karen is currently training Alison Hibberd in the Uniform Shop so please feel free to stop by and say hello.

The Uniform Shop will be open every Thursday morning 8.30am - 9.30am.

If you cannot make it during this time but need to order some uniforms, please fill out the attached order form and send it to uniformshop@dayboropandc.org.au.  Your order will be packed and left at the school office for you to collect when convenient.

Volunteer Opportunity – Welcome BBQ - Thursday 2^nd February

Can you assist us with the Welcome BBQ next Thursday?

We will be hosting a Sausage Sizzle from 5.15pm - 6.15pm in the hall and would love your help.

Can you stay a little longer after your information session, or come a little earlier to help out before your session begins?
