Deputy's News
Dear Families and Friends
Well, the entries for our 5B’s Competition and Principal’s Award have been rolling in. It is wonderful to see so many children embracing the challenge and having a go. I have enjoyed reading their interpretations of what our Values and Special awards mean to them. For example:
Respectful: I think that talking to each other nicely shows respect and kindness. (A Yr 3 child)
Proud: I am proud that I always try to have a go at things. ( A Yr 1 child)
Tolerant: Accepting and including others, no matter how different, is the Dayboro way! (Yr 5)
The competition details are below. Children can continue their entries on the holidays and return them to school on the first day back of next term, Tuesday 23rd April.
EXCITING NEWS! 5B’s Awards Competition
It’s time! Time for us to re-design our 5B VALUES Awards given out at Assembly! As the children who designed the awards are no longer at our school (the designs were last updated in 2011) we would like our current children to have the chance to have their artworks on our 5B and Kindness awards.
More exciting news...... we are also introducing a PRINCIPAL'S AWARD each week. One student will be selected to receive the Principal's Award each week- Mr Drummond and/or I will be selecting a student each week who consistently demonstrates our school values of Kindness, as well as Being Proud , Positive Tolerant, Respectful and Responsible. The student that receives the Principal's Award each week will then go into the draw to be eligible for the Sheriff's Award at the end of each term.
Each year level has been given a VALUE. See below:
