Chappy's News
Hello lovely Dayboro parents, guardians and friends!
It’s great to be back at school for Term 4! I am enjoying seeing all of the jacaranda purple popping up all over town when I go up to the school oval. We are in such a beautiful part of the world. It reminds me of when I first started working here, almost a year ago now. Every day I try to be grateful for the small things – like a flowering tree or the fact that I get to be the chappy at this school. I find it really helps me to put things into perspective and keeps me in a good frame of mind. Gratefulness is something that children can start to develop from a very early age. Something as simple as parents and children sharing 3 things they are grateful for on the drive to school can help to set the whole family up for a good day. The more you do it, the more you will start to find you can find things to be grateful for in your day. If you want to, give it a go (and then maybe even let me know how it goes).
As you will have read in the principals news, Mrs Tavelardis and I started our Rock & Water program last week. We had lots of fun and are excited to introduce it to the senior group this Thursday.
SUPA club re-started last Friday in the hall on a Friday after school. This will be on fortnightly until the end of the year, if you are interested in sending your children along please feel free to contact me at the e-mail address below.
Finally, I am here to support students, staff and parents in the Dayboro State School community. If you have a need, are going through something difficult or simply need someone to talk to, my door is always open. I have lots of resources and support I can offer. Please don’t hesitate to contact me. Have a great fortnight!
