World Teachers’ Day

On Friday 28^th October we recognise and celebrate the important work our teachers do here at Dayboro State School. We are very fortunate to have a hard working, caring and supportive team of professionals who strive every day to provide a quality education for our students. This year we are also celebrating all our support staff on the same day as we also value the work they do for us and our students. Every day our team at Dayboro are making a difference and we thank all our staff, for your dedication and the positive impact you deliver.

Congratulations to our Instrumental Band students and Mr Yates who received a Bronze Medal at the recent Peninsula Music Festival. They were presented with their certificate and report on Assembly on Monday.

PREP ORIENTATION MORNING

This term we are holding our Prep 2023 Orientation mornings for students so they can visit our school and learn more about our Prep classrooms. We have already had the first visit last week. See photos. The next visit is on Monday 24^th October. Our last visit will be on Friday 28^th October 9:30-10am. It is such a joy to see next year’s Preps interacting and getting to know our staff and each other.

Now that the days are starting to get warmer please remember that it is an expectation that all children wear hats during play times and PE lessons. The rule is “No Hat, no Play!” Please remember to name your child’s hat as it makes it much easier to return lost hats to their owners.

Children that do not wear hats are expected to be in the CSA areas during break times.

The biggest thank you to some of our local businesses who supported our school recently. A big shout out to Dayboro Village Meats for supplying the sausages for our Family Dance night last term and to Silverwood Café for kindly donating a fridge/freezer to our Tuckshop.

Thank you also to Ferny Grove High School who visited last Friday and put on an amazing Circus Performance for our Prep- 2 students.

PAYMENT PLAN: Please call Bedrock Books on 07 3881 1122 to organise a payment plan for your booklist. Our payment plans have no fixed payment amounts and you pay when you prefer. A non‐refundable deposit of $20 is required at the time of placing your order. Orders over $300 require a 10% deposit.

Swimming for P-2 Started last week!

Children will be swimming every Thursday and Friday for 5 weeks- a total of 10 lessons. The last day of swimming will be Friday 11th November. Please make sure monies and permission slips have been finalized.
