Book Week Celebrations
Well done to everyone who joined in with our Book Week celebrations this year! It was wonderful to see so many of our students come to school dressed as their favourite book characters. It was fantastic to see many of our students bring the books that were the inspiration for their costumes as part of our celebrations. A very big thank you to all of the parents, caregivers, and friends who helped students get ready for our parade.
Students from all year levels across the school enjoyed the Book Week performances from Meerkat Productions. It is always interesting to see how familiar books can be adapted into a live action performance. The students had the opportunity to ask many fascinating questions at the end of the performances – they were interested in how costumes were made, how long rehearsals take, how is the audio tracks are played during the performance, etc.
Premier’s Reading Challenge
Congratulations to all of the students who participated in this year’s Premier’s Reading Challenge. Students who completed the reading challenge will receive a certificate of recognition later in the year.
End of Term Overdue Book Reminder
The end of Term 3 is rapidly approaching. All students are reminded to return any overdue books as soon as possible. Students will receive verbal reminders regarding overdue books before the break.
Have a great week!
