Chappy's News
Wow, what a big fortnight it has been! I hope everyone is going well and enjoying everything that is happening here at school. I have been busy running Nerf Games at lunch time on a Monday. This week the Year 6’s had a go and Year 3 will get their turn next week. We had Pancake Day last Tuesday – it was so great to have everyone in the CSA enjoying a yummy breakfast together. This term I have been taking a Year 5 and a Year 6 girls team along to league tag at Gala Day (alongside Miss Delisser). Last week we won all of our games! I am so proud of how the girls are working together. As always, I have been running my play time clubs. Some favourites are chalk drawing, basketball club, card games, footy, soccer and cricket. Take a look at this amazing chalk dragon drawn by a Year 6 student who then kindly helped a Year 1 student draw her own. It’s so great to see students helping each other and having fun.
You may have seen in last weeks newsletter that Mrs Tavelardis and I went and did some professional development in Rock and Water recently. It’s a great psychophysical program designed to help students regulate their emotions through engaging play. We are super excited to implement it here at school!
Lastly, SUPA club has started every other Friday afternoon and we had a great time together learning new things, painting and dancing. See the flyer below for further information.
