Chappy's News
Hello everyone, what a busy fortnight we have had at Dayboro State School! Congratulations to the winners of the Chappy Week colouring in competition. It was very difficult for me to pick the winners because you all did such beautiful colouring. Well done to:
Prep – Maya
Year 1 – Layla
Year 2 – Esther
Year 3 – Juno
Year 4 – Kalani
Year 5 – Tilly
Year 6 - Maeve
I hope you all enjoy going to the movies and creating memories with your families! It was also great to see all of the jerseys on Sports Jersey Day. Thank you for all of the support for school throughout these events.
This term I have been working through the ‘Big Life Journal’ with some students at school. These are a wonderful resource for building self esteem and resilience in children. If you’re looking for a way to work with your child on either of these things, I highly recommend looking up their website. I have found it a great way to check in with not only the students I see, but also with my own son.
This school holidays, there is a day camp being run by Scripture Union in Murrumba Downs. SHACK Murrumba is running over 3 days. There will be loads of fun with nerf wars, a scavenger hunt, sports, games, crafts and a huge inflatable obstacle course. There are some children from Dayboro State School who are hoping to attend, so feel free to send your kids along as well. See the flyer below for more information.
If you have any questions about any of the above, or are requiring extra support, please feel free to send me an email at: rachael.woodrow@suchaplaincy.org.au
