School Athletics
By the time you read this we’ll have run the school athletics carnival. Fingers crossed for good weather, smiles, house points and good scores. Thanks in advance to all the people who helped out with set up, pack up and running of the event, particularly George Briskey and Kerry Cassell.
The 1500m event will be run Monday 20th June at first break. It is only for competitive 10-12yr olds who believe they have a chance to get into districts. Nominations were taken over the past two weeks.
If your child was absent for the track and field events but would have had a really good chance of getting into districts, please email me. I may be able to time or measure them in the last week of school.
District Athletics
The district track and field carnival has had a change of date and will now be held on Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd August. Information regarding who is selected to represent the school at the district event will be sent out either in week 10 this term or week 1 next term.
Regional Cross Country
Congratulations to Lachlan Y, Laylah J, Kaycee J, Regan W, Emily D and Ivy S who competed in the regional cross country last week. Kaycee and Laylah came third and fourth in their events and will now compete at the state level.
