Deputy's News
Dear Families and Friends
On Wednesday 25th May we participated in National Simultaneous Story Time day. The book chosen this year was The Family Tree written by Josh Pyke, who also happens to be a well-known musician. Children across Australia were all read this book at the same time and then were involved in activities afterwards. Our children were entertained at the hall with activities and a special reading of the book. A special thanks to Mrs Wilkinson and Mrs Hetherington for organising this special day.

On Friday 20th May we also held our annual event “Under 8’s day”
The Prep -2 students, many assisted by their wonderful parents, spent the morning doing a range of fun activities that supported the theme of Under 8’s week across Australia this year “Play in a Changing World.” We certainly did this with the weather finally clearing a bit for the day. A big thank you to our local Kindy groups, Helping Hands, our Fire and Rescue services, and Sgt Ken for helping to make the day very special also.

A big CONGRATULATIONS to Mr Yates and our Instrumental Band students. They competed at Fanfare, a regional competition held at North Lakes State College. Even though we are a small band and have only been working with Mr Yates for a short time, they still received a bronze award for their efforts. Well done team. Now….onwards and upwards!! A big thank you also to Ms Clark for embroidering our new white shirts with the band logo. They looked amazing.
Thank you Mrs Ryan!
Our Vision: “To inspire students to reach their full potential in a safe, caring and educationally challenging environment.”
